Where should we live (another thread, but slightly different..)

Hi All-


We are moving from the States to HK in the next few months for a 2ish year stint, and I am trying to narrow down where we will want to live.


We (me+the Mrs. + a 3 yr old + a 7 month old) are going to live in HK, but I will be wokring in Shenzhen (Futian), and commuting via KCR.


So, as much as I love the variety of things to do on HK Island, it probably doesn't make a lot of sense for us to live there.


I'm still working on what the housing allowance will be, but it will likely be "reasonable", not extravegant. I'd prefer a bit of space for the family, and an area where there is some stuff for the family to do while I'm wokring (the Mrs. isn't going to work). Also, reasonable public transport woudl be helpful.


Ideas?

Have a look at Fairview Park in Yuen Long they have shuttle busses every 10 minutes to Sheung Shui Rail station where you get the train to Futian. Self contained community and every house has its own garden. there is a thread on the subject in the property section of the forum
