Dear Asiaxpat,
Please be warned that your website is being used by scammers of the worst kind.
I am an Australian living in Hong Kong. Recently whilst viewing your proeteries for rent (owners) I noticed a rather 'good' rental deal - a case of too good to be true for the Talon Tower property in Sheung Wan- posted by Valentina Craparo. I investigated a little further via google and found that she/he had posted accommodation share ads on your website as well for properties in Melbourne and Sydney - using exactly the same photos for the so called property in Hong Kong. Obviously the properties are non existent. In communications it transpires that she/he is out of the country and has the keys with he/him and so arrangements are made with TNT for the interested tenant - to go and collect the keys and contract and pay a month's rent in advance then look at the property if it isn't suitable I supposedly can get my money back - of course I didn't fall for such a ridiculous scam (perhaps the keys were not really keys for the property anyway) and I truly hope no one else did either in Melbourne or Brisbane. I am writing to inform you so that you do not allow this person to post ads on your website in the future. It is possible of course that she/he will use different names in future - but please warn your clients if you can.

Dear all,
happy to hear that you didn't fall victims of this scam...
they are using fake names of course. Few weeks ago they posted a fake ad under the name of Melanie Torres. Wonderful apartment at low price.
I already alerted the website, but unfortunately there's no much to do against those people.
(I am based in Hong Kong)

Some reports confirm Nigerian scammers are working with local Hong Kong gangs for the operation.
Please report scammers information (email, phone number) to www.scamwarners.com immediately. The more details you can provide, the more chances it helps people to be able to Google such information, find your pots and will stop sending money to them.
Thank you very much.
(You can post their information anywhere in the website too)
