Anyone aware of any barter scheme where one can exchange iphone 3 for iphone 4?

If you go to one of many smaller phone stores they will give you cash for a 3GS, and presumably also 3G.


For example on Times Square there is a store called "Mr. Mobile Phone". They pay 2400 for a used 3GS.

Sorry about that. It seems a bit odd since they bought mine like three weeks ago.


There's a place in the Wan Chai Computer Centre. Take the escalator up and immediately do a u-turn left. First store on the left. I asked and he said "normally we do".


You could also try Sanda Technologies on the corner of O'Brien Road and Johnston Road.

In wanchai, Mongkok, they will provide the Trade-in price... I prefer selling the iphone3, then join plan for operator, enjoy great refund to monthly fee..

When I got my new iphone 4 through 3HK, they offered to buy my old iphone 3. I imagine others do the same.

Another way to do it s to sell to those guys sitting in Causeway Bay or Central (behind Shanghai Tang). You'll recognise them as they sit there with a sign advertising cel phones. If you have your old box and manuals you will get a better price. remember to haggle as well.
