I am looking to buy a new copier, as I will be working from home.
I will probably print, on average, 50 sheets per day.
Bigger runs I will use a copy shop, perhaps.
Mostly this will be black and white, but I also need color.
Perhaps, black and white print with inserted clip art or photos.
What are the best options for this kind of printing. Obviously cost is the factor.

I would recommend an all-in-one. If you're talking 50 copies a day that should be more than enough.
I would recommend laser but unfortunately no color. The HP LaserJet M1522nf MFP a good one. Scanner, printer, fax, copier. Feeder and flatbed. Network printing and scanning. As I recall it is around HK$2500. Great quality.
For color you should go for an inkjet model like the HP OfficeJet 8500 series. More or less the same specs apart from printing method.

I have an all in one now. But a set of toner cartridges, B&W and color, is half the price of the printer unit.

So do you have a color laser? Those are expensive to run. An inkjet or a b&w laser should be less per copy.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. I think you should just sit down and do the math on toner/ink cost per copy.
