Exporting my car to Hong Kong

We are moving back to HK and we would like to send my car and few boxes of personal belonging back with us.


It would be much appreciated if any of the reader could share their experience and what forwarding company could we use.

It is a right hand driving car as coming from the UK, it is a 3 year Lexus RX-350 so I think still relatively new, we have already got some info on the customs so it is still cheaper if we bring it with us.


I would appreciate if any of the reader who had any experience importing a car and any reputable forwarding/shipping company we could use would chip in as we are set to come back by mid-Dec.

We have shipped cars before from London to HK. It most certainly is possible to get them cleared, registered and shipped.

Hi, i recenty shipped a car over from the UK using the below contact. Keep in mind the car needs to be all original and would be best to have emmissions testing done prior to arrival. You will also need to notify and provide all shipping, prices and car details to HK customs with in 30 days of the car landing in HK. If you miss the deadline the car will need to be shipped out again. Other than that its pretty straight forward. There are also some companies that can do the whole process for you for around HK$8500 (or so).
