The exact dates can vary depending on the school.

In the case of ESF schools, The Chinese New Year break is 22 Jan - 6 Feb. This is not the beginning of the new semester though. That would be 3 January.

It is not normally called "Spring Festival" here among expats, just "Chinese New Year".
