My door bell is not working, I changed the batteries as well.
what could be problem ??
I asked someone to fix problem and he quoted HKD 400 to replace bell.
is it real price ??

Also look on Fu Tong Market, they have a couple of electrical stalls, for a new doorbell, you may well get one for less than 400hkd. Also worth having a look in the Japan home store in TC, which is in the streey behind Mannings just off the main square.

It depends on the model you want. Some are pretty expensive, like those that come with those idiotic and annoying melodies, some are your bog standard ding-dong thingies which would cost you about $60 in a harware shop. That's a pretty easy DIY job.
Then again, maybe some of the cables on the side of the push button next to the door will have come loose somehow, so make sure to check that as well before replacing everything.
If you don't want to do it yourself, then $400 sounds a bit much, so try to shop around, but then most companies won't want to come and 'waste time' on such a simple job for nothing...
