You can absolutely buy an external DVD drive to watch movies.

You can find one in any of the computer centres. Ask for an "external DVD drive". It will connect via USB. Typically you would pay a few hundred.

or you could get your internal CD device replaced by a multi-drive, not that much more expensive and a "cleaner" solution. any shop in the computer center could also do this as well.

I agree with G-C - if your laptop only has a CD drive, that might mean your computer is quite old and isn't powerful enough to handle DVDs.
