It depends on what kind of company it is. If it is a Chinese domestic company, it may distribute the profit not according to the shareholding percentage. If it a equity joint venture in China, you have have rare opportunity to do so under the company law unless you can use some contractual methods. If it is a cooperate joint venture in CHina, you may distribute the profit not according to the shareholding percentage. This is explained under CHina law. Since it is quite complicated, I hope the short explanation can be of some help.

Where is the company incorporated – Hong Kong or elsewhere? If in Hong Kong, yes it is possible …..an appropriate resolution would have to be drawn….your corporate secretary or solicitor should be able to assist in the particulars.
