Bicycle Shops in Hong Kong

My wife and I are looking to purchase bicycles and we are wondering if anyone has any advise on which shops / brands to consider? We are not necessarily looking for brand name frames but the components should be Shimano or equivalent.

I've seen shops that sell new bikes right next to the bike rental shops in Shatin Park. They're probably the same shop in fact. They seemed to sell rather nice hardware there, although I don't know much about it.


Ditto for the bike rental shops near Tai Wai station.


You can buy bikes in Mui wo and Pui O as well on Lantau, if you happen to be in the area. I think there's one in Tung Chung too.

The Shatin Bike Shop which has a huge collection for sale is on Fo Tan Road,

Fo Tan Shatin. Next door to Sofa Sofa.

Take exit 12A from the tolo highway drive straight over the shing mun river - go through next two sets of lights (it is well signposted for Fo Tan) the bike shop is at the next set of lights on the right hand side. You can park at the multi storey car park next to the famous pigeon dai pai dong.
