"List" = list price AKA manufacturer's retail price. Listed on the Apple website here: http://store.apple.com/hk/


You can get an iPhone 4 in a shop, but it will be marked up a few thousand from the official price since you can't get one from Apple, Fortress or wherever.

Why would you want one without a contract anyway? It really is just a (expensive) phone if you don't have the 3G bits. It comes into it's own when you have the 3G bits at hand.

My guess is that the OP doesn't want to own one without a contract. He wants to buy one without a contract. That way he can choose the operator or use it abroad etc...

schumi02, the Apple store currently lists the iPhone 4 as "unavailable". It has been that way for months. Market tactics no doubt.

Not really market tactics. They are trying to build up a presence on the mainland and it doesn't help when people are buying in HK and taking them back over the border. You'll find the phones become unavailable at the same time the iP4 was released in China.

I ordered one from iphone website Singapore, sent to a friend in Spore who bro it here. No premium. Had to pay HK$3-400 more for their sales tax, though.
