I am told it is way cheaper to send a truckload of household effects and ship home ie Oz via China ports ? please someone in the know give details thanks

Well, it is cheaper if you ship from china to hong kong than

Hong kong to china. But if you via china I don't think

It will be cheaper then going direct from hong kong.

From what I understand the savings you may net by shipping from will be gone when you ship your effects into china...


Properly, you'll need work visa and residence card to even get your stuff into china. Non officially, you'll pay out your nose in 'taxes' with the risk of it getting stuck in customs
