I don't understand why your visa to US had been denied. I hold an Indian passport am not working and both me and my kids have been given a 10 yr visa to the US. We don't have any relatives in the US and went as tourists. My husband is here on work visa.
The reason could be something to do with your bank balance. The US visa process is quite a painless one in HK as compared to India. Try again. It is always better to be honest with your reasons to travel. If you are applying for a Business visa, I suggest you check their website.
