Paternity

Hoping for some advice.. The father of my child is in the U.K, while I am here and am not a UK citizen... Is it possible to force a paterntiy test on him from here?

Under the provisions of the Parent and Child Ordinance, you may apply to court for a declaration that the father of your child (resident in the U.K.) is the child’s natural father.


In a case of this nature, the court has the power to direct blood tests to determine the paternity of a child.


To give directions for scientific tests showing whether a party to the proceedings is or is not the father of the child, and to take body samples from that party is subjected to court’s discretion. Consent of the alleged father is required for such purpose. If consent is not given, the court may draw such inferences thereof under the circumstances.

Go to the British Consulate. The UK government takes this thing very seriously and is more than willing to kick the sh#t out of any potential father.
