Hey!
I have curly hair and with the humidity in Hong Kong it's just a total NIGHTMARE! So i've started straightening it two years ago!
First started with the Japanese! I've done that about 4 times... And it absolutely RUINED my hair!!
This is when the Brazilian keratin treatment came out! Decided to try it... Went to Paul Gerrard, paid 1500hkd for short hair (above the shoulder) ! the result was amazing... no more frizz at all and very "healthy" hair!
3 months later it started to fade so I decided to go for it again... PG was fully booked so I decided I was gonna do it at the Hair Corner who was promoting the new "Brazilian Blowout"... so I had it done for about 2000hkd... And wasn't very pleased with the result... It looked like a very basic treatment I could do myself!! I could feel my hair was "healthier" (compared to using the Japanese straightening) but nothing really impressive!
Now... 4 months later I wanna go for it again! So I called PG and they replaced their products and are now using the "Brazilian Blowout" aswell and suprise: I was quoted 3000hkd instead of the previous 1500!!!
I am a bit confused and disappointed :(
So I was wondering if anyone had any advice ?!
Thanks

Hi,
My hair is an unhealthy and difficult one. I colour it (2 tones lighter) because of the grey hair. That makes it even dryer and more frizzy (no matter what haircare product I use, I look like a lobster on humid days :-(.
I tried Japanese straightining only once and it was good enough experience for me to stop it, my hair started breaking (I had to have series of hair cuts), looking very very unhealthy, so never again!
About 5 weeks ago I tried Brasilian Blowout. Yes my hair feels softer and healthier, yes my curls eased. Though it helped a bit, it definately didn't solve the frizz problem. I still have to keep my hair in ponytail to keep the frizz under control, the treatment for me was not like a miracle (as they advertise).
It (Brasilian Blowout) costed me $HK 1000 (excluding the take home hair care kid), I think 3000 is expensive but if you try the place and you are happy with the result please let me know I want to know if there is a difference in application from hair dresser to hair dresser (that may explain the price difference?).
If you are interested in the hair dresser I've been please PM me, I'll write their contact info for you.
Good luck in solving your hair problem!

I think you could try the salon that I went to! My hair was very frizzy after I have colored my hair for several times and the hair broke so easily…I talked to my friend and she recommended me doing a Brazilian Blowout in a salon called “P.O.P Hairdressing”. And so I went, the result was very pleasing! My hair looks so much healthier and the most important is that it is now frizz-free and very shiny! But my stylist told me that the shine could only keep for about a month while the smoothness and frizz-free would keep for about 3 months~ Btw, they are having a promotion on Twangoo now, take a look if you are interested~

They are using the actual Brazilian Brand, which is all the celebrities used in US~ Its original price was $3500, but then when they did a promotion on Twangoo, it was only $1750! But then it's sold out now...Anyway, they wrote on their website that they are going to feature a new one later, so maybe when I see the new promo, I could send the link to u~

I'm living in Taikoo Shing too, & I don't think any hair salon near us does Brazilian Blowout. I've done mine in Causeway Bay, the salon name is " Exclusive Salon ", Style House, Park Lane hotel. They also doing some special offer which cost around one thousand somthing.

I had mine done at O2 on Wyndham St in Central. It's pretty good so far, price included the BB shampoo and conditioner. Cost varies according to hair length. $1500-$3500.
