Hi
Can any parents give me some comment about South Island School (SIS) and GSISn secondary school?
Now I am considering my son who is in Year 7 going to SIS or GSIS next year. Any parents know about these 2 schools and what is their difference? Please let me know more detail.
Thank you.

By all accounts I have heard (friends who have kids there) they are both fine schools.
There is a big difference in cost though. GSIS fees are 123k (and increase at Year 12) plus a 250k debenture, which is way more than SIS. From memory (not on the website) SIS is 70-80k per year plus a capital levy of 20k (starting next school year).
Admissions are also different. GSIS uses a waiting list, while SIS takes all admissions at the same time, then prioritizes based on certain criteria like siblings or if the child is at an ESF primary.
