Do you get TV channels through your internet connection? (NowTV?)
If yes, it could be that your connection is having a few 'hiccups', or that the bandwidth is a bit congested, especially if it's a low-ish bandwidth internet contract.
It could also be your PCCW or NowTV router that's acting up. Have you tried resetting them? (Plug them out, wait a few seconds, then back in, then let the connection reset and the NowTV modem reinitialize.)
If it keeps acting up, contact your provider.

Leaving the machine on all day can cause problems. I know a lot of people who switch off their TV, but not their iCable/Now boxes. This can cause overheating and the said hiccups. It's better to turn them off when not in use.
