I purchased a used car that had a musty smell, thinking it could just be cleaned and aired out. Unfortunately, that's proving to not be the case! I want to get the carpet replaced, but haven't had any luck finding someone who can purchase and install after-market carpet. Any recommendations?

Years ago I messed up my car carpets, I'd bought fresh fish in ice, and the ice melted-- plus I didn't get home till late in the day, so this fishy water etc seeped into my carpet on the passenger side, the smell was horrendous, in a 3 month old car!! I scrubbed it with various disinfectants, and then used the steam cleaner on the carpet, and left the car doors open to dry it, eventually the smell went after a lot of hard work. Maybe there is a car valet company in HK that may have the equipment to clean it properly for you.
