Can anyone tell me how long they waited for their newborn babies British passport to be processed after going to the British consulate in Hk recently?

I can't tell you how long a babies passport might take. However when my husband applied for his passport to be renewed, once the correct papers, passport photo had been handed in at the embassy it only took about 5 working days for the new passport to arrive at our address by registered mail.
Forms can be handed in at the embassy which is opposite The Conrad Hotel, best time to go is early in the morning if you want it urgently.
I think the forms for baby can even be downloaded if you google British embassy HK.

Disagree with Susie1 on the best time to go. The best time to get there is about 20 minutes before they close which I think is around 1 or 2pm. That way they will deal with you quickly as they are in a rush to close. Get there any earlier and they will keep you waiting for ages with only a few counters open, funnily enough as soon as it gets to almost closing time all the counters open up and it's all go! It's UK service not HK service .... guess it is the British Consulate though.
