Looking for Children's Chinese New Year Outfits

Since this is the "shopping thread" I thought I'd post here as well at the parenting section.


I am looking for Chinese New Year outfits for my kids. I am not too keen on getting those common ones you find in the market nor am I willing to spend too much for Shanghai Tangs. Does anyone know where I can go looking in Hong Kong for something smart yet will not break the bank?

Have you tried the shops 'HK Chinese Arts & Crafts'? There is one in Pacific Place, one in Central right opp H&M and one somwhere on the harbourside in Wanchai?

Definitely across the border to Shenzhen as it's a one time thing so you need not spend too much on that. It's so cheap there and so many styles to chose from.

Sorry OP .....didn't realized that you have written that you wish to buy in HK. Well, in Central there are 2 short streets called Lei Yuen East and the other one West...try these 2 lanes.

I got my little girl the cutest pink jacket from Orientideas the other day from www.orientideas.etsy.com. The site was introduced to me by one of my friends living in DB who bought a lovely black and green reversible vest for her little boy at the DB market. Check out the website! Sienna got tons of compliment when she wore it to her playgroup last week.. ^^
