Apart from going to bars / clubs in Lan Kwai Fong or gym or worplace, are there any hobby classes that I can meet thirty something single expat guys? I am not a member of HK football club. I cannot hang out there. Where are all the white single guys hang out in Hong Kong?

Well, hobby classes are really not restricted to single and white, so a there are a plenty of other people there too, so hard to tell what the odds are for fulfilling your criteria.
I guess "elemantary conversational Mandarin for business people" type of courses could attract such a demographic

lol. I have done a trial course in Mandarin for English speaking people. I met a guy who had the view 'paying for prostitutes is faster and better than paying for dinners several times on dates' He said his friend's view. But I think it's his view. He has worked in Thailand and always hangs out in Wanchai...I heard there are white guys on the MBA courses run by overseas uni here, but it's a bit expensive. I just don't know where those guys in their thirties I saw in central hang out. just working? or all in wanchai or bars in LKF every weekend?

Well, lots of +30 single expats in HK are single because they've chosen to be single. There's just too much fun around there (or then too much work) and I don't think that the single expats on MBA courses are any different from the guys on Mandarin course.

I would have suggested the HKFC but if you can't join that what about the Valley Rugby Football Club. They are a very social club and organise tons of social events. They do a variety of sports, rugby, hockey, netball etc. Check out their website.

I actually know someone from the HKFC. He told me most guys in their thirties have a girlfriend except those in their twenties. I have met a few young guys who go to HKFC (they wouldn't be ready for a relationship) I also tend to attract twenty something guys. I have wasted time with twenty something guys when I was younger. I can't waste any more time. Are people from the Valley Rugby football club the same people? I don't know what games I can play with them. I can only work out in the gym. let me think if I can learn to play hockey...

U know life is so hard. I broke up with a white guy as I didn't love him enough. I went to bed early. (u know what I mean) we became friends. But I cannot do most guy things with him- canoeing, cycling on the road etc. I couldn't be his best friend. We broke up. I don't just want a white. They are in my office! I want someone matching. I have long distance boyfriend I see when he comes here on a business trip or we travelled. But he's only 30. he can only be transferred here if his business has picked up in HK. I can't waste time anymore, but I can't just pick anyone I don't really like. Just like my last relationship. We immigrated to Oz. We broke up. I am quite tall. 5'7. Usually in heels. I met quite a lot of guys since I broke up. Some I lost interest. Some wanted to bed u after a few drinks or dinner. Some are too young. Some are too tall. (I mean 6'7) some are too short. Some has the smell I can't stand. But I am getting job interviews. Hopefull change job.

U r so lucky. After breaking up for 2 yrs, I met guys on a business trips, Guys in their twenties, confirmed bachelor pilots, arrogant bankers, boring guys, old guys, married guys, some are not attractive enough... The good ones cannot find a job here yet. Looks could be superficial. But I am afriad I repeat my life if the attraction is not strong enough. I sleep early. I used to study design/art. It makes me very sensitive about looks/ fashion. It's not good. I guess people like people have something in common & something they lack. Maybe facial features or body type or interests or personality. I wish I had the visa to live abroad. I wouldn't ask for advice here as I reach 80% chances.

As a gweilo male in his 30's with heaps of single mates in their 30's I'd have to say the obvious: you have ruled out LKF (that means Wan Chai too I suppose)... which is precisely why you can't find any such men... they are all there. I completely understand if that scene is not for you but on the surface of it you seem to have ruled out some of the most obvious places in the city. Maybe re-think that? Nice people can be found pretty much anywhere.

R u responding to someone mentioned the gay sauna place? Or you mean you are nice enough? Taller than 5'10, shorter than 6'3? Nice face, not yet bald? Older than 30? Internet dating or those speed/lunch dating really suck. Most are unattractive guys. Only one or two look nice but too young or too tall. Waiting in a bar for the whole night... Most guys are about 5'9 tall & not goodlooking. If he's handsome, he sleeps around. Better search in Europe!
