Hi,


This may be a stupid question but do I need to take my baby with me when I'm getting a passport for her?


I need to get the Australian citizenship certificate, then the Aussie passport, and also the UK passport.

Hang on cara. It depends on the country. For example for a Swedish passport you definitely need to bring the kid, and the picture must be taken at the consulate with their machine.


Call the respective consulates and ask.

Found out for the Aussie ones I don't need the baby. Just wondering about the UK one, which I was hoping to get first thing in the morning. Thanks guys!

Well, the Swedish photo requirement is easy. Just show up with the kid and they take care of the problem. That way you'll never have to turn back because the picture had the wrong format.
