Bad comparison. The US has always been a bit of a joke when it comes to broadband. Places Scandinavia, Japan and Korea have been way ahead of HK for years. Sure, we can now get gigabit here (but only in some locations) but many Swedes have had 100 mbit for ten years, a service that only became available in HK 2 years ago.

anyways.. back on topic...
Has anyone tried the reliability of the HKBN? my contract is ending in the next couple of months of PCCW. Reliability is great but the customer service is a turn off.. speed is adequate enough for me. But if HKBN is going to be cheaper and faster why not?
Any reviews as of yet??

My question is: does HKBN allow you to use your own router and do they have any service restrictions, such as serving files etc?

I was told that HKBN service depends on whether or not your building has enough ROI for the ground work..sh*tty for me as i live in an old chinese walk up.
