am i the only one? we are new here...been here a little over a month. we have found a school for our 5yo, but she won't start until the third term. we will keep our 2yo home another 6 months to a year. i am not sure i want a DH yet so for now, it's me and the kids having lots of adventures, which is fun, but we can't find anyone to share them with. i looked into joining the american women's association, but most of their events are for adults only. i am a very outgoing person, and i love people, but i am having a pretty hard time making friends here.

any suggestions?

Look at the Australian Association's social group. They have a Mum's and Toddler's group.

Hi. I was in the same boat when I arrived in Hong Kong. I went to the American Women's Association coffee at the JWMarriott and found a lot of friends. It seems that you should go to the coffees for a month or however long it takes until you find the ladies with the little ones. They did have playgroups. If they don't, ask if you can start one.You can just meet at Hong Kong Park's playground or at your home, etc. It will get better. I promise!

PS. Once your children or a child is in school, you will meet people easily! Even if you're not Australian, no one will care. They will just find it interesting to have a new person around and everyone likes meeting people from different places. I'd join any group you could.
