i have been composting for a while and i will soon be ready to plant my first vegetables. Now the question is....where do i buy seeds? HK side location preferred, as i live on the island

Do you use worms for composting? If yes, where did you get them?

Do you actually need worms for composting? I thought it was simply a case of aerating decomposed vegetable matter, crushed egg shells and the like over a period of a year or so, abd that bacteria did the rest.

Worms are not necessary. But they make things go faster.

Old posts would indicate that there is nowhere that earthworms can be bought in Hong Kong. Several suggest going to a fish shop where live worms are sold as fish food,however, these aren't earthworms and I doublt whether they would survive the environment or assist with composting.

You can get red wriggler worms for composting at Good Earth Society in Sai Kung. It got a full set including a worm cafe it works great and I have a steady supply of worm water and excellent compost.
