Hi,

I would like to get 2 doves and release them for my wedding in October. Does anyone know where I can find them?

Thanks.

Keeping doves is illegal in Honk Kong what about two large yet lesser cockatoos? The bird market has all sorts of birds you can allow freedom, the choice is only limited by your purse, but no pigeons sorry.

I suggest you buy seven white budgies, the impact is far greater than two floppy pigeons, or mix them yellow and white to match the roses.

These are tough little birds and will fly straight up in a spray out of the cake or what ever or where ever you tend to let em go. They may make a high pitched "where are my mates sound" but the cries as they rize into the sky make quite a poinant note. They will also survive indefinately. Two fat white pidgeons will be dead in about four hours, thats if the black Kites dont get them first.

Other alternative is to get then frozen from Olivers, these wont venture too far from the plate but make a dlightfull entreee and no noise at all.

Thanks for your reply Lawrence. I might consider the budgies. Is the best places to get them is the bird market? And how long in advance should I get them?
