Hi,
My MacBook got wet (dripping aircon in a hotel...) and now works only if plugged in . it is not the battery but the logic board that needs to be changed according to CASE (Apple official repair centre in Causeway Bay) and they quote me HK$4000 for this It is three years old, extremely well maintained so still would be cheaper than buying a new one but I wonder if anyone has had this experience. Any risk of other parts falling apart after? Repair is guanrantied 90 days. Seems a bit expansive so am looking at another repair shop evn if not official one at all.
Ideas/tips welcome

Good idea, thanks. Have never attempted anything like this before though is it easy enough to DIY?

i have done it a few times for my Dell laptops
if you cant change it yourself then ask help from some one who is more technically inclined :-)
