There is a hidden gem in Wanchai- go from Hopewell Centre and walk towards Admiralty, but stay on the opposite side of Hopefully Centre. You will come across this little place with lots of books, ALL discounted hardcover cookbooks!! It's even within walkable distance to Cosmo book as suggested by aussieinla. What do you have in mind for cuisines? crystalfoodcake.com

I hit Commercial Press in Causeway Bay. Im looking for books about local food or other asina food with English in them. I found a few nice ones last night with good explanations of local foods at markets here, common local dishes and how to make them. Now can finally stop asking "What is this?" at the market.

Thank you I'll go find the two in Wan Chai soon.

I have to say that I have almost gone totally net-based/on-line/stored on PC for my recipes. I'm building up a good collection on my hard-drive, all nicely indexed. It's sites such as this: http://theideaskitchen.co.uk/

And many more like them, that give you a plethora of recipes many of which contains comments and updates so that they do not go out of date.

While i still miss the physical feel and touch of a cookbook, give me a PC, the 'net and a printer any day!
