Buying in China, Exporting from Hong Kong

Just wondering if anyone has experience or know-how about this?


I'm considering buying (let's just say) 200 small electrical items from the mainland and then posting them back to the UK.


Would I need to pay any export duties?


I guess UK customs is more of a concern. How would I declare such items? If necessary at all?


I'm pretty sure the item doesn't infringe any copyright laws. I'm aware the quality of the product may be hit and miss like so many things made in China.


any other pitfalls I might need to be aware of?
