I need to renew my passport as there are no pages left to stamp. My China visa still has 2 years to expire. Can I transfer the old visa to the new passport?

I was in your position a couple of years ago. I had to keep two passports when going in and out of China. My old one with the China visa and the new (now current) passport issued by my home country. When the China visa expired I took both passports into China visa people and they renewed and put in my new book.
