GPS in HK

Hi - we were wondering which is the best car GPS for HK.

First off, any GPS will have a hard time in HK due to the very hilly terrain and all the tall buildings.


I would think Papago is the best option. Beats the crap out of my Garmin.

i have the tom tom which is great. had to order it as only one website in hk had it. found the info on old asiaexpat conversations. you download the hk maps online form the australian or uk site but works okay. is about 100 meters slow and won't work in kowloon if you are near lots of tall buildings but never had an issue in hong kong island or NT. The key is to watch the top right of the screen to keep following the direction of where to go. Also their pronunciation of places is ridiculous (i.e. wan chai is wan cow) but you get used to it....we now call ap lei chau, ap lay cow....
