I have moved out from her apartment for more than 3 months now to move to Macau, as I was in the rush to move, so I returned the keys to the landlord before she refunding the deposit, she keeps saying because the apartment is not renting out yet so she cannot refund me, but i have already paid her the 2 months notice as stated on the contract so i do not think that she can keep my money cos of no one is renting her apartment! I tried so many times to send her e-mails, sometimes, she said, she is going to refund sometimes she said cannot n blah blah blah.... anyone pls advise what can i do in this situation! thanks a lot

nah inkpot. right approach should be:
1. send a message to her in writing where you threathen with a lawyer. that might already do the trick
2. if it doesn't, then go to small claims tribunal
3. then go from there
usually a nicely places threat goes a long way

does anyone know what options are there if your deposit is greater than HKD50,000 and the landlord is not refunding with no good reason ?

small claims tribunal is a good idea, but since now i'm not in hk, and is hard for me to go to hk now to file the claim as i have 2 babies to take care and i have no helper at the moment... i really dont know what to do to get back the money, i tried to send her email again but she just would not reply. i'm thinking of writing an email to her company as she is working in a big chain hotel for a very high position, but i dont really wanna do that cos i dont want to disturb her work for her personal thing.... but seems she leave me no choice
