Hi,
I'm an male English student, 25 years old, currently studying in France and I will be moving to HK for a study placement at the end of August for 6 months. Aside from accommodation offered by the University, I just wanted to know how difficult it really is to find a place to stay for this period of time?
My budget is around 5000 HKD/month. I'm not fussy at all, any square footage, any number of flights of stairs to walk up, sharing or a studio, I don't mind.
I have no experience of HK and the only people I know who do were in a very different situation (family with 3 kids) and they assure me I'll find it very difficult.
I don't mind if it takes a little bit of time to find a place, but I just wanted some opinions on whether it is totally impossible or not? I'm not looking for long answers/lots of advice, just a general idea as to whether or not I have my head in the clouds!
Thanks a lot.

Not too hard. Serviced apt, take on a break lease or share flat come to mind.

Try a share apartment... I dont think you can find a serviced apartment within your budget
