We are trying to get our Helper over to the UK for 4 weeks but as shes only been with us for 4 months, her application has been declined. We were told by someone at Immigration when we originally applied, "not to bother" (he was English) with applying for a DH Visa as she probably wouldnt get it anyway and try for a Visitor Visa instead. Now her Visa's been rejected as Immigration think we were trying to get out of paying the full application fee, despite them being NO HELP on the day (theres like 25 visas you can apply for but the bloke there said he's not able to advise which one you can get).
I have twins under the age of 2 yrs old and am therefore legally not able to board a plane without another adult accompanying a child (my Husband cant leave work yet to fly home with me, nor is anyone we know flying back, or family members able to afford to fly to HK and then back to the UK). Does anyone know how we can appeal Immigrations Refusal of the Visa application? I have one very sick parent and need to get home. We were told it would take 3 weeks to make a decision and yet, it turns out, they knew within 5 days. Any help or advise would be very much appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

[UPDATE] Please note that fee quotes stated in historic postings may be out-of-date.
In order to qualify to obtain a visa to enter the UK, your domestic helper should have been working at your household for at least one year prior to application. There is a right of appeal. Should you decide to appeal, you must explain why you think the decision to refuse was wrong.
