I have previously asked for advice on this forum and people have been extremely kind so thought I would ask for ur thoughts on my predicament as it is now.

My background info, Got married to a PR resident and have been living in HK for past 4 yrs on a 1yr, then 3yr dependant visa. Am now getting divorced from my partner so cant renew my visa, but have found an employer willing to sponsor me. The only question I have is if i take up this offer of a job for the next 3 yrs then I will have to live here perm for next 3 yrs.

I am unsure if i can comit to this as now i am alone i dont wish to live here but do want my PR as otherwise feel like i have wasted the last 4 yrs working upto getting my PR.

My employer is flexible and states that I can work for them for 6 months then go to England for 6 months until my 3 yrs is up and apply for my PR after this. My question is will this even work??

Not sure if my thread makes sense but any of ur thoughts will be appreciated.

[UPDATE] Please note that fee quotes stated in historic postings may be out-of-date.

It’s not accurate to say “you can’t renew your visa”, simply because you are getting a divorce; we have successfully gained visas for the divorced spouse of a dependent in these circumstance. Each case stands on its own facts but you would be wise to receive comprehensive advice to see if the problem can be surmounted more easily that you think.

Unfortunately, my seperation has left me virtually penniless and so not much i can do now, let alone get legal advice.

Have been left with no option but to pack up and go back to England
