Can a company still use my name as one of the company directors even if I am not anymore connected to that company?

You can resign and lodge the resignation in the Registrar of Companies.

I resigned years ago but I just found out that the compoany still lists me as one of their directors without my knowledge.

Of course they can't use your name any more if you are no longer the directors of the company. Have you sent a resignation letter to the board of directors? Have they filed the director resignation form with the Company Registry? You can pay HK$12 or 13 to the Registry and find out this information on-line within 2 mins. Why don't you pick up the phone or drop a email to the existing directors and clarify with them? Ask them to remove your name immediately from the website or correspondences ... etc.
