Business legal help needed please

I opened a business while living in Hong Kong in 2007. The business never really made money. I filed taxes for the company for the first year of business (I didn't owe any taxes) I had instructed my accountant to file taxes and de-regulate the company as I no longer needed it. He charged me a certain sum for his services. It seems like he filed taxes but did not de-regulate the company. I thought I would just let the company die as I have left HK and now reside in the USA but I keep on getting letters from the HK IRS telling me a owe money in taxes for my company. It seems like they now what me to pay over 66K HKD for accumulating taxes and fees. I need help straitening this mess. Any body here who can help?

Thanks!

Barry

I guess this is a HK ltd company and you now wish to deregister it?

[UPDATE] Please note that fee quotes stated in historic postings may be out-of-date.

If you wish, you can instruct your accountant to transfer your corporate file along with the letters of demand from the IRD. We will review and give you the avenues available to straighten this out.
