Kopi luwak (civet coffee) in Hong Kong

Here's a heads up about the coffee that is picked from the poop of civet cats...


The reason it is considered the best of the best is apparently because the cats select the tastiest coffee beans when they feed...


I am told it has nothing to do with the processing the beans undergo when passing through the cat...



I am also told that people are now keeping civet cats on farms where they feed them coffee beans... so the cats are no longer selecting the best of the best... they are just eating what they get...


And thus, it would appear that most Luwak coffee is likely a waste of money... the only way it would be worth the extra money I suppose,,, is if you had a guarantee that it came from the poo of wild cats...

I agree the most worthy civet coffee, should come from Wide Cat. May try www.balimrputu.com; it's civet coffee is from wild cat.
