Hi I read some past threads warning about lending money to friends and never get it back. But I must admit that it is hard to avoid sometimes out of compassion or sympathy.....
So silly enough I "fell" into the old trick and now contemplating whether to pursue, the amount is $10k. I have bank transfer document but no other "loan agreement", other than sms and e-messages. Would Small Claim Tribunal deal with cases like this? Thanks in advance.

money first... friendship can be forsaken if no choice, as i think it is a trick.

You have enough evidence that a debt collector would need. If you need a english/chinese debt collector who will charge 10% on any amount he collects please let me know.

Thanks so much "p.masion" for your detail advice. It is indeed very useful information for me.
"white kiwi trash" is right too, i have seen similar comment from other tread, they even suggested that a debt collector is more effective, and i do not disagree either.
However I will still choose to go thru' the SCT, as I think this is the only "legal" way even it means less effective or more time consuming. Getting the money back is only my second objective, I need to show that my friendship cannot be abused. With the STC proceeding or judgement i hope I can acheive the latter.
