I am interested in spending a few days mid week at the Chimelong waterpark in Guangzhou.


Any recommendations on who I can book this through? Ferry + hotel.


Have you been and want to tell me about it?

Do I need to arrange visa's ahead of time or is it like the Shenzhen border?

first of all, take the direct bus to the resort. their website should tell all the details else book with CTS.


visa i would get beforehand.


lastly i can recommend their zoo; bit less sure about the waterpark.

Why do you recommend the bus? We are traveling with 2 little kids and I was think the ferry has more wiggle room and opportunity to move for the long journey.

ferry can be very cramped depending where you drop off, and it can still be a 45-60 minutes bus trip from the ferry drop off to the hotel.


but i was confused since you mentioned visa at shenzhen border...

I think better to take direct train in hung hum station, sometimes taking bus can take 4 hours getting there because the Shenzhen n GZ highway often got traffic jam. And ferry are not really that comfortable but if u are ok with it ..make sure u get drop off at LAN hua Shan port it's alot more closer than nam sha port. I hope u find this helpful.

Why do you recommend the bus?www.n-bag.com. We are driving two children, I think there is more room to maneuver the ferry and the opportunity to travel long distances.
