I was wondering whether I should wait to buy my breadmaker- http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_GB/290123/module/general/compare/productsCategory.html till I get to HK next month, or buy it here and bring it over?
Are electrical goods all cheaper in HK, or only Hi-Fi PCs and top end stuff. Not sue where Breadmakers fit in to that! Thanks.

I handcarried my Panasonic breadmaker over from UK to HK as I hadn't -and still haven't - seen them here. Plenty of AsiaXpats say that the other (limited) brands on sale in Fortress, Wing On etc. are apparently fine (do a search as there are plenty of old posts on the subject) but, as does Good Housekeeping every year, I still reckon Panasonic tops the other makes.

Thanks for that, Thames. Yep.I think Panasonic are the best too.

Susie 1, thanks very much for that site, although I couldn't see any Breadmakers there, it was good to get other product price comparisons.

There are two well-known cos. in HK which sell breadmakers, and are reliable. Dah Chong Hong, dch@dch.com.hk, www.dsh.com.hk, and Sogo Department Store, www.sogo.com.hk. Do have a look at the website and compare prices. If you buy here, if something goes wrong, you can easily return it through both these cos., which would be difficult if you live in HK in the future, and not England. Good luck.

Many thanks for that Janet. Not sure I'm going to live in HK, just be there for some months!
