I breastfeed my little girl but I am trying to supplement this with solids.
However, she's not interested. We tried bananas, pears, apples, avocados, plain chinese congee etc to no avail. Her eldest sister would eat anything we gave her at the same age.
She likes vanilla cereal, pumpkin and tofu but I am trying not to feed only these to her (to avoid her becoming a choosy eater). Please note that she probably only takes a few spoonfuls, maybe 2-3 tablespoons?
Is there anything else I could do? I haven't given her finger foods because I'm still struggling with purees.
Can anyone help? Thanks.

Mine refused solids until 10 months old. I thought there was something wrong and took her for various tests. But when she was 10 months she just accepted solids without fuss. Perhaps she has her own schedule.

Sounds like she loves your breastmilk too much!
Do you mix your breastmilk with the food you give her? You can mix it with the purees.
I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep trying. And when she gets teeth, give her stuff to hang onto and nibble.
Some kids are fussy eaters and some love it. My first was fussy (still is) but the second is a "rubbish bin".

Both my children have never had purees. They sat at the table with us as soon as they were able to sit up. When they started reaching for foods and showing an interest they got what they reached for. We would then put finger foods on a plate for them to eat, usually boiled soft enough to not cause issues. Never had a problem with either of them. They'll reach out when ready, not much reason to push it on them as long as they are healthy. We'll do the same with our third.
