Hi there,
Been living in HK for the past 4.5 years but resigned from my job in order to return home to deal with some personal matters. My visa expired 2weeks ago.
I'm now looking to return to HK. I've been told that if I've been gone for too long they will not count the previous time I spent in HK for permanent residency.
Has anyone had this experience? How much time is too much time? Tried to get a reply from immigration but they haven't given me one. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth hurrying back to HK or if I can afford to take some time out.
