I just moved in in a flat few weeks ago with a terrace on the 2 floor, and after that i noticed theres a pipe leak from the 7 floor ,i talked to the neighbours and they said its going on for some time ,every time the guy showers his water shampoo run down from the pipe staright to my terrace.i have complained already to the building management and to the owner but till now theres no reply. The worst is that they choose to shower like 1am when im sleeping and of course the noise always wakes me up beside my terrace being always wet and smeeling like shampoo or anything.

Can i breake the tenancy ? i tried water department already they came here but at that time there was no more water dripping so they said they could do nth.Im starting to get really upset about this situation and i dont see a way to solve it.

Appreciate any suggestions

cheers

I have similar experience 2 months ago and I have now moved out as the floor was damaged by the salty water running out from the broken pipe inside the toilet.

The building mangement promised my landlord to have the floor fixed but they are unwilling to compensate me as a tenant. They said they are not in the position to make compensation to me and I should go to the landlord instead.

What I am asking is a compensation equivalent to the agency fee I paid for renting the flat that I moved out. Both the landlord and the building management company refused to accept my claim. Can I lodge my claim against both or either one at the small claim tribunal? can anyone help?
