What's the best way to celebrate Halloween in HK? By celebrate I mean letting my kids dress up and either going to a Halloween party or trick-or-treating.
I realise knocking on random doors isnt going to cut it here as its not really part of the culture.

On HK southside Halloween is a very strong tradition with trick or treating. Just show up!

A good way is to run your own party if you have a bunch of parents to get together and beat the cost. Lot of good entertainers in HK - mobile disco, face painters, balloon artists, magicians - suitable for kids Halloween parties.
Joining other activities depends a lot on where you live. I know that in places like Discovery Bay parents either go with their kids, while the management company also organises 'trick or treat' parties.
