Car Body Work

ORIGINAL POST

I've heard of a body shop that does great work smashing out dents on cars. I thought that the name I was given was something like American Body Shop or American Car Body or something like that but.....obviously I've got it all wrong! I was told that they come and get your car in the morning and drop it off at night and it looks like new.........any clues for me please???

Cheers! Judy

Yes, they are American Body Shop 9484 7664. I've used them quite a few times! Very good work and quite reasonable.

Yes Lux that sounds more like a proper job timeframe

Thats strange, even they are changing the whole panel/doors etc and only repainting that would still take more than a day.

They could not bake the paint at all at that rate so the finish will deteriorate quickly and wear off faster when the car is waxed. Seriously dodgy to me

Hey guys - I didn't say that they dropped it off the SAME night, did I? The super fast fellow who answered my call and came over within an hour for an estimate said that he could do the job in 4 days. So.....I think it's time to close this discussion - don't you? Many thanks again to Sarah for the name and number - they are great. Judy

That fair enough then just the way you wrote it seemed like one day. Just as a guide local painters do a full respray for about $20k. If you car has a metalic paint then you will probably need a full respray or the colours won't match so don't be surprised if they say that when only one door was dented.

Thanks - appreciate that point. Luckily - it was just the door and he charged only $2.5k. Very reasonable I thought.

Cheers!
