Moving To South Africa - Require Police Clearance Certificate

ORIGINAL POST

Hi

I will be moving to South Africa, however, for the visa application, I need to get Police Clearance Certificate for each country I have lived in for more than 12 months since the age of 18............

Now, being a serial expat, I have live in the UK, USA, Singapore, Japan and currently in HK.

The HK clearance is reasonably easy as I live here but for the other countries, it seems to be a nightmare.

USA - I have to apply to the FBI and submit fingerprints

UK - seems to be straight forward

Japan and Singapore - No clue what to do......

If there is anyone out there who has experience/knowledge of this kind of thing, please, PLEASE let me know

Thanks

What you need is a Certificate of No Criminal Convictions.

To find out more info and how to obtain this go to the Police website

www.police.gov.hk , go to Useful Information then click Certificate of No Criminal Conviction.

No need tell them about the countries you have lived in which may be evident from your current passport, the authorities there are so thick, and so busy selling passports at the back door of home affairs, that they will never be the wiser.

was in the same situation, only got my papers from HK, didn't worry a bout any other countries, even my home country of aus.

didn't bother with UK, Ireland, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Thailand, China etc.

it is a tedious process once there aswell, so don't expect to get it straight away, depends whos helping you, ie, your company hr etc.
