Paypal scammer: why am I receiving his messages??

Hi Ed,

Since this weekend, I've been getting messages from other users who are responding to this scammer. I have no idea of course why the mail system is sending me these messages. Some folks are seriously engaging with him, which can be unfortunate.


Can I suggest:

1) Post a larger / more explicit warning in the classifieds against these scammers?

2) Correct your email system so I don't get these messages? I wonder if I am missing messages that should be meant for me but are maybe ending up in his/her email box!



The scam is always the same:


hello i am chris..i like this your item and i am ready to purchase please let me know if its still available for sale..

please contact me through this email : chris.johnson1400@gmail.com

Ed, I'm still getting many (all?) of the emails meant for scammer "chris.johnson1400@gmail.com". Can you fix this?

If you want quick action please follow the instructions at the top of the classifieds and in all inboxes and email these to us... we will ban immediately
