Laser Hair Removal: Good Price or Not?

Hello - This is the first time I've ever been on a forum of any type so please be kind.

I've gone to Bella for a laser hair removal consultation, but haven't had my first appointment yet. I'm having buyer's remorse and wondering if I've made a huge mistake. I was quoted:

$40,000hk for upper leg at 30% off

$40,000hk for lower leg at 50% off

$18,000hk for underarm at 70% off

$25,000hk for extended bikini at 70% off

(roughly $7700 us dollars)

I'm getting tummy and butt done for "free"

Diode laser

Also receiving CST ingrown hair treatment with 4 sessions for "free"

All with six sessions each, with a two year touch up period

I have fair skin with dark/coarse/thick hair

Thank you in advance for anyone who has knowledge of this procedure in HK. I've done a bit of research on line regarding prices in the US, but I haven't done any real price comparison in HK.

$8,000 for unlimited upper lip hair removal at Bella two years ago. They then started discounting heavily, so I'm not sure if you're getting a good deal or not. Sems you're forking out a lot.

Hi there! I have lazer removal treatment from Dermes about two years ago, it's around $38000 for lower legs, $18000 for underarm and $8000 for lower arm, with free lazer removal for upper lip area. The price for lower legs and underarm is for peak hour, that means I can arrange appointment any time of the day. Thereafter I added the lower arm package too, it's for non-peak hour, that means I can only have treatment before 4pm of the day or on weekends. Dermes and Bella should be of the same group, I guess the quote should be similar but the difference is, Dermes is offering the package under permanent contract, once you join the package, they guarantee to offer the hair removal treatment for the rest of the years. It's a lifelong package, so in long time, the cost for Dermes is even lower than thosr small scale beauty salon in Central or Causeway Bay area. Personally I am very satisfied with the results as the trratment did really cure the razor bumps problem on my legs, and no allergy occured. One more thing, the effect for lazer hair removal is not permanent, your hair will still grow months afterwards, just the new grown hair will be much thinner. I think that you should first consult the pros and cons of laser and IPL. In a nutshell, laser is more painful and expensive than IPL. In the sense that IPO is milder, takes a bit longer to achieve same results.

I recently heard that someone has brought group coupons from somewhere (without name) for lower legs. This is always a watch-out point. Mind that it turns out that the price might only cover some part of lower legs (eg front part only).

I just bought the groupon for BNS laser hair removal - they also do teeth whitening. DO NOT use them, before they did my first session they attempted to sell me a whole new series of 6 treatments! they do not speak sufficient English and the groupon is basically dishonest - they told me they would only do laser hair removal on a strip of the face where NO HAIR grows, I did double check this with a qualified beautifcian and via google to confirm.
