Other than using credit card payment for earning asia miles, is there other way i could earn asia miles faster? i have some asia miles expire soon in my account, want to redeem air ticket asap.

I just redeemed 45K worth of Miles and booked a ticket on CX
Guess how much the tax was?...............HKD 2600
HKD 5,000 is the cost of the flight or other airlines - not as convenient reputable as CX but seriously
To answer your question: get the Amex CX card if you dont have one. 8,000 A miles off the bat when you spend HK8,000 within the first 3 months.

Best use for airline pts in my opinion is to upgrade from economy to biz... I think it's 70,000 for a long haul on CX... value of the upgrade can be over HKD30,000... the only allocate limited seats for advance bookings but if you show up at the counter on the flight day... if there are unsold biz seats up front you can grab one with your points... if your travel dates are flexible check online which days have the most unsold seats up front...

Firstly Asiamiles actually have the highest redemption rates when compared with other airlines - eg One way business to London - 50,000 Virgin, 60,000 BA and Star Alliance and 70,000 Asiamiles ! So it is better collecting StarAlliance miles - Dah Sing have a credit card.
I also agree with Ed that Business Class redemption is the best value use of the miles, but uisng them for upgardes is not good since you have to buy an expensive economy class ticket - you can never upgrade the cheapest tickets. Use the miles for full redemption for Bus or First tickets, anything else is not worth it.
